Responsibilities
- Greets and interacts with guests in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner based on Whiskey Prime service standards and AAA 4-Diamond expectations.
- Recognizes and acknowledges guests promptly upon seating and follows established service procedures consistently without deviation unless directed by management.
- Communicates menu offerings in detail, including descriptions, preparation methods, and key features of dishes.
- Possesses strong knowledge of the wine and whiskey program and confidently makes recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Learns and recommends wines from the extensive wine list and whiskeys from the curated whiskey selection.
- Takes food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, demonstrating strong knowledge of seat numbers and table service standards without auctioning food.
- Serves and refills alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while maintaining awareness of responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Maintains ongoing knowledge of menu changes, wine offerings, whiskey selections, and featured specials.
- Delivers food confidently and correctly to the guest who ordered it without auctioning items.
- Maintains awareness of guest perception at all times and actively contributes to a polished, elevated dining experience.
- Pre-busses and assists with cleaning and resetting tables in a timely and unobtrusive manner, to maintain a pristine dining room appearance.
- Provides alcohol service within the guidelines set forth by the MAST training program, including responsibly managing guest consumption and involving management when necessary.
- Ensures all workstations are stocked, organized, clean, and sanitary at all times.
- Completes all side work in a timely and satisfactory manner as part of maintaining guest experience standards.
- Collects payment from guests and returns change accurately and efficiently.
- Operates, balances, and reconciles cash tills and Point of Sale (POS) systems as trained, reporting discrepancies to management.
- Maintains strict adherence to high-standard dress code and impeccable personal hygiene expectations.
- Works days, nights, weekends, special events, and holidays as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Exceptional guest service skills required.
- Prior upscale or fine dining experience required.
- Vast wine and whiskey knowledge required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Six months to one year related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Health Card (Food Worker Card).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) Class 13 Servers Permit.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication.
- The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work, occasional bending and crouching.
- There are no adverse conditions, but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis.
- This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
