Restaurant Manager Westchester

Flanigan’s is the largest and most popular restaurant chain in South Florida, a beloved institution since 1959 known for excellence in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. We are expanding and seeking experienced restaurant managers to grow and prosper with us.

Responsibilities

• Communicate all kitchen issues with management throughout the day
• Read and write notes in the manager’s daily log in English
• Attend weekly manager’s meetings and monthly staff meetings
• Read the weekly memo
• Complete weekly and monthly employee evaluations
• Communicate with all managers on duty (M.O.D.) when shift is completed
• Provide accurate, honest reports of all events, both positive and negative
• Comply with all policies, rules, and directions covered in manuals, memos, and meetings
• Attend quarterly supervisor meetings
• Demonstrate an ownership mentality
• Order and formulate pars
• Maintain basic math skills: count currency, make change, use a calculator for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Understand and facilitate proper health code standards
• Adhere to Flanigan’s always-hiring policy and conduct interviews in a timely fashion
• Issue written evaluations for positive and/or negative performance
• See, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell
• Read and write English
• Stand and move about at a moderate pace for up to 4 hours at a time
• Work 50 to 55 hours per week
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Bend, stoop, squat, or crawl as needed
• Operate kitchen equipment with necessary coordination
• Adhere to Flanigan’s policies for dress and grooming

Requirements

• Current food management certification
• Flexibility for scheduling (Flanigan’s is open 365 days per year)
• Willingness to transfer to a different geographical location
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Vacations scheduled between April and November only; must be taken or forfeited
• Basic computer skills
