About the role
Manage a high-volume restaurant in an efficient and professional manner, ensuring the quality of products served and superior service to guests. The Manager must understand, monitor, and impact operation profitability while ensuring all employees maintain excellent customer service standards that embody the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy, and Positivity). Collaborate with other Food and Beverage Managers and Department Heads to ensure smooth outlet operations.
Responsibilities
- Influence positive outlet performance and exceed budgeted goals by monitoring daily sales, ordering/par levels, and costs.
- Improve Restaurant operations by maximizing revenue, creating and implementing marketing plans (with approval), and reducing labor expenses based on business levels.
- Ensure all employees maintain quality standards and follow established service procedures, including Golden Nugget, Saltgrass, Health & Safety standards, and other management-designated rules.
- Handle accurate scheduling for all positions and shifts.
- Demonstrate exceptional cash handling skills and organization, including auditing comps, voids, coupons, rewards cards, and promotions while maintaining accurate paperwork.
- Requisition and review daily supplies and inventory to maintain approved par levels.
- Counsel and discipline employees, including supervisory staff, as necessary.
- Maintain consistency in enforcing Departmental policies and act as a positive motivator for employee morale and development.
- Monitor and support employee training for future advancement opportunities.
- Maintain current knowledge of Aloha and/or other POS system operations.
- Cover any deficiencies in the restaurant as needed.
- Demonstrate excellent people skills in guest and employee interactions, handling customer complaints on a one-to-one basis.
- Control the door, manage comp-slips, coupons, and related procedures.
- Communicate with maintenance/engineering to ensure the physical appearance of the outlet.
- Complete special projects for Food & Beverage management, including forwarding necessary information and employee licenses to the F&B Office and/or Human Resources.
- Remain available and on call 24 hours.
Requirements
- Ability to manage employees, with training and coaching skills to develop motivated teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent in English.
- Ability to work efficiently, independently, and cohesively while producing quality results.
- Technology-savvy, with proficiency in POS systems like Aloha.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or related degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in restaurant management.
- Minimum age requirement is 21.
