Respiratory Therapist - Weekender Nights

Position: Respiratory Therapist RRT- Weekender Location: Edward Hospital - Naperville, IL Hours: Full Time, 36 hours/week, night shifts on weekends; holiday coverage required when falls on weekend Pay Range: $33.16 - $51.40/hour, based on experience and expertise Responsibilities Include Performing, teaching, and guiding all forms of respiratory therapy, chest physical therapy, and cardiopulmonary diagnosticsAssessing and treating patients across all ages, involving family education and care planningAdministering respiratory therapies, managing equipment, and understanding indications and hazardsProviding advanced respiratory care, airway management during CPR, and external cardiac massage if neededPerforming blood gas analysis, pulmonary function testing, and related quality controlExplaining procedures, developing home care instructions, and participating in continuing educationCollaborating with healthcare team members to optimize patient care and documenting in patient recordsMaintaining equipment, supervising staff, and performing duties of the Director in their absence Qualifications Include Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy programRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry-eligibleState licensure within 6 monthsCurrent CPR certification; ACLS, NRP, PALS within 24 monthsKnowledge of acid-base balance, blood gas analysis, and cardiopulmonary physiology Benefits: Incentive plans, premium pay, medical/dental/vision, tuition reimbursement, retirement options, paid time off, wellness programs, and career growth opportunities.
