Respiratory Therapist - Weekender Night

About the role

The Respiratory Therapist provides critical respiratory care by applying clinical skills and knowledge gained through education and experience. A registered RT demonstrates competency by passing NBRC exams and earning the RRT credential.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and develop personalized care plans
• Implement and evaluate care strategies
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health management
• Serve as a clinical resource and provide leadership within the care team
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support healthcare delivery enhancements

Qualifications & Skills

• Current state licensure and RRT credential per NBRC standards
• Recent clinical respiratory care experience in hospital, home care, or skilled nursing settings
• Successful completion of hospital and departmental orientation
• Basic computer skills with Windows and Microsoft Office
• Certification in BLS within 14 days of hire; ACLS preferred
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
