Role Overview
A full-time Respiratory Therapist provides patient assessments, develops care plans, and communicates with healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs therapeutic modalities
- Manages mechanical ventilators
- Educates patients and families
- Assists with airway management and invasive procedures
- Monitors patient status using non-invasive tools
Additional Duties
- Supports intra-hospital transport
- Supports discharge planning
- Functions as a charge person when designated
- Assists with bronchoscopy procedures and invasive monitoring
- Serves as a preceptor for students and new staff
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of a specialty training program
- At least 2 years of related experience
- Ability to float between multiple hospital sites
- Strong communication
- Clinical skills
- Adherence to safety standards
