About the role

Full-time Respiratory Therapist responsible for patient assessments, care planning, and execution of therapeutic modalities such as aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and airway management.

Responsibilities

• Performing and documenting patient assessments and establishing care plans.
• Communicating with the healthcare team and providing patient and family education.
• Managing mechanical ventilators, airway devices, and monitoring equipment.
• Assisting with intra-hospital transport of ventilated patients and emergency airway management.
• Collecting arterial blood gases and maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Supporting procedures like bronchoscopy and invasive line placement.
• Acting as shift coordinator and preceptor for students and new staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to float between multiple hospital locations.
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts and handle both day and night assignments, including weekends and holidays.
