Respiratory Therapist/Polysomnographer

About the role

The Polysomnographic Technologist/RCP is a licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) responsible for conducting sleep studies, sleep staging, and scoring sleep events per AASM standards. They collaborate with leadership to ensure high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic sleep services, providing an excellent patient experience by following protocols and hospital values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments
• Evaluate and treat sleep disorders
• Perform polysomnography, EEG, MSLT/MWT, oxygen/CPAP/BiPAP titrations, airway management, blood gas analysis
• Calibrate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment
• Implement new test modalities
• Oversee supply inventory
• Mentor staff
• Supervise new technicians
• Provide coverage as needed

Requirements

• Ohio RCP license required
• Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy required
