Respiratory Therapist/Polysomnographer

About the role

The Polysomnographic Technologist/Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner (RPSGT/RRT) conducts sleep studies, ensuring high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services in the Sleep Lab. They collaborate with leadership to maintain excellence in patient care, following all protocols, policies, and hospital values.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment, evaluation, and treatment of sleep disorders
• Performing polysomnography, EEG, MSLT/MWT, oxygen/CPAP/BiPAP titration, airway management, and blood gas sampling
• Demonstrate proficiency in calibrating and troubleshooting diagnostic equipment, implementing new testing modalities, and overseeing supply inventory
• Mentoring staff, orienting new technicians, and providing coverage as needed

Requirements

• Hold an Ohio Respiratory Care Professionals License
• Hold an associate degree in Respiratory Therapy
