Responsibilities

• Utilize scientific and clinical principles for the identification, prevention, remediation, and rehabilitation of acute or chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction
• Review existing data, collect additional data, and recommend to obtain data to evaluate the respiratory status of patients
• Develop the respiratory care plan
• Determine the appropriateness of the prescribed therapy
• Initiate, conduct, and modify prescribed therapeutic and diagnostic procedures
• Document necessary information in the patient's medical record
• Communicate information to members of the health care team

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a CoARC-accredited educational institution
• One of the following certifications: CRTT, CRT, RRT, CCT
• BLS/ACLS certification
• Unencumbered State of Illinois Respiratory Therapist License
• Five (5) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate
