About the role
Responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations and collaborate with healthcare teams
- Manage ventilators and perform airway procedures
- Analyze arterial blood gases
- Educate patients and staff on respiratory care
- Assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics
- Promote safe, high-quality care through accurate documentation and adherence to protocols
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives
- Support staff development and promote evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT
- 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care
Skills
- Strong communication and critical thinking
- Ability to build relationships with healthcare professionals
- Computer literacy
