About the role
The Lead Therapist (practitioner) (LP) oversees daily operations within the Respiratory/Cardiopulmonary Department, ensuring delivery of comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: An associate degree is required; a bachelor's degree or BS/BSRT is preferred.
- Experience: At least two years as an RRT in an acute care setting; prior supervisory experience is a plus.
- Licensure/Certification: Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and current RCP licensure in the relevant state are mandatory.
- Skills and Attributes: Demonstrates leadership qualities such as effective communication, fairness, accountability, and staff development. Ability to motivate, support, and foster a respectful work environment while maintaining a broad departmental vision is essential.
