Respiratory Therapist II (RRT)

About the role

Responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments in critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and collaborate with healthcare teams
• Manage ventilators and administer aerosolized medications
• Perform airway procedures and analyze arterial blood gases
• Educate patients and staff on respiratory care
• Support quality care initiatives and promote patient safety
• Contribute to performance improvement efforts
• Participate in invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary testing
• Mentor staff and ensure adherence to policies
• Maintain documentation accuracy and a safe patient environment
• Support professional development and participate in educational activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
• NBRC-RRT or equivalent license
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and other relevant credentials
• 0-2 years of clinical experience, including at least 6 months in critical care
