About the role
Responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments in critical care settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluations and collaborate with healthcare teams
- Manage ventilators and administer aerosolized medications
- Perform airway procedures and analyze arterial blood gases
- Educate patients and staff on respiratory care
- Support quality care initiatives and promote patient safety
- Contribute to performance improvement efforts
- Participate in invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary testing
- Mentor staff and ensure adherence to policies
- Maintain documentation accuracy and a safe patient environment
- Support professional development and participate in educational activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- NBRC-RRT or equivalent license
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and other relevant credentials
- 0-2 years of clinical experience, including at least 6 months in critical care
