Respiratory Therapist II (RRT)

About the Role

Provide safe, quality patient care across multiple facilities within a designated market, demonstrating independence and adherence to respiratory standards.

Responsibilities

• Administer and evaluate respiratory therapies
• Manage ventilators
• Perform patient transfers
• Interpret blood gases
• Respond to critical situations like code blue and airway management
• Prioritize care based on patient needs and acuity
• Act as a patient advocate
• Incorporate education into care plans

Qualifications

• Associate degree (Bachelor's preferred)
• 1+ year of experience
• Current RCP licensure
• RRT credential (new graduates must obtain RRT within 12 months)

Skills

• Proficiency in routine and critical care respiratory procedures
• Independent practice
• Familiarity with hospital protocols and systems
