About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) to provide critical respiratory care in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Act as a patient advocate by integrating education into interdisciplinary care plans.
- Prioritize and complete care interventions based on patient needs and acuity levels.
- Administer and evaluate medication therapies, perform patient transfers, and provide routine and advanced respiratory care.
- Manage ventilators, airway management, blood gas interpretation, and respond to emergent situations.
- Document care accurately in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree required; bachelor's preferred.
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the relevant state.
Skills
- Ability to evaluate patient needs and deliver appropriate respiratory therapies.
- Independence in respiratory care practice, including critical care procedures.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
