Respiratory Therapist II (RRT)

About the Role

This is a part-time position for a Respiratory Therapist II working day shifts in the Diagnostic Radiology department.

Responsibilities

• Act as a patient advocate by integrating education into the interdisciplinary care plan.
• Prioritize duties based on patient needs and acuity, ensuring timely completion of care and medical orders.
• Administer and evaluate medication therapies, perform patient transfers, and transport patients.
• Provide routine respiratory care such as arterial blood gases (ABGs) and bronchial hygiene therapy.
• Deliver advanced care in critical situations.
• Demonstrate independence in respiratory care practices aligned with state standards.
• Manage ventilators, airway management, blood gas interpretation, and respond to emergencies like code blue events.
• Document care accurately according to hospital policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure in the appropriate state.
