About the role

The Respiratory Therapist performs comprehensive patient care related to respiratory health, following physician directives, and consults on therapy effectiveness. They serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff, offering expertise in respiratory care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care related to respiratory health
• Consult on the effectiveness of respiratory therapies
• Act as a resource for physicians and nursing staff
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to contribute to a healing environment

Requirements

• Graduate of a CoArc-approved respiratory therapy program
• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
• NBRC credentials (RRT or CRT)
• At least one year of experience (critical care background preferred)
• Proficiency with respiratory care equipment
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Certifications such as ACLS and PALS
