About the role
Performs direct patient respiratory care according to physician orders, acting as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy and consult on therapy effectiveness.
- Assist in developing and adjusting treatment plans.
- Utilize respiratory care devices and equipment appropriately.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Perform duties as assigned, maintaining patient safety and care standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate from a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from NBRC.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience, critical care preferred.
- Certifications in ACLS and PALS (for ER roles).
- Physical ability to handle equipment and perform physical tasks up to 50 lbs.
