Respiratory Therapist - GIG/Flex/Per Diem/PRN

About the role

Performs comprehensive respiratory care for patients based on physicians' orders, acting as an advanced resource for healthcare teams. Consults with physicians on therapy effectiveness and performs assigned duties to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care using respiratory care devices and techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to evaluate and improve therapy plans.
• Serve as a resource for respiratory care expertise within the clinical team.
• Perform duties as assigned, adhering to safety and clinical protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CoArc‑approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license meeting state requirements.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by NBRC.
• Minimum of one year of post‑orientation experience.
• Certifications in ACLS; PALS required for ER roles.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving equipment and patient handling up to 50 lb., including kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Experience in critical care preferred.

Pay

Competitive pay: $30 /hr for Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), $35 /hr for Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).

Schedule

Flexible shifts (day or night) of 4, 8, or 12 hours; no weekend or holiday requirements.
