Respiratory Therapist Full Time Nights

Position Summary

Demonstrates proficiency in the use/operation of respiratory equipment and provision of respiratory treatment to assigned age-specific patient population (e.g., infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics).

Participates in related continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to assigned patients according to professional standards and established procedures, using good judgment and personal initiative.
• Must possess excellent assessment skills to floor therapy and patients on mechanical ventilators.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Minimum Education and Work Experience

• Graduate from an AMA, CoARC, or JRCRTE approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Preferred: Associate Degree in Respiratory Care.
• Minimum: Two (2) years experience in an acute care facility.

Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications

• Two (2) years experience in an acute care facility.

Licenses, Certifications, Registrations or Designations

• Current and valid RCP license from the Respiratory Care Board of California.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• American Heart Association BLS Card.
• American Heart Association ACLS Card.
• American Heart Association PALS Card.
• Afforded Assault Response Competency (ARC) required within 30 days of hire.
• Current Los Angeles County Fire Card (or must be obtained within 30 days of employment).

Shift and Hours

• Shift: Nights.
• Hours: 6:00pm - 6:00am.
• Shift Hours: 12 Weekly Hours: 36.
