Respiratory Therapist Full Time Nights

Position Summary

Demonstrates proficiency in the use/operation of respiratory equipment and provision of respiratory treatment to assigned age specific patient population (e.g. infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics) and participates in related continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to assigned patients according to professional standards and established procedures, using good judgement and personal initiative.
• Must possess excellent assessment skills to floor therapy and patients on mechanical ventilators.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Minimum Education and Work Experience

• Graduate from an AMA, CoARC or JRCRTE approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Preferred Education: Associate Degree in Respiratory Care.
• Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications:
  • Must possess current and valid RCP license from the Respiratory Care Board of California.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • American Heart Association BLS Card, ACLS Card, PALS Card, and Assault Response Competency (ARC) required within 30 days of hire.
  • Current Los Angeles County Fire Card (or must be obtained within 30 days of employment).
