Respiratory Therapist - Full Time Night Float

About the Role

This position provides respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for patients of all ages. It involves monitoring and weaning oxygen therapy, analyzing arterial blood gases and EKGs, assisting with airway management, and delivering prescribed treatments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced respiratory therapies
• Document patient information accurately
• Educate patients and staff on respiratory care procedures
• Conduct diagnostic procedures (e.g., arterial blood gas analysis, EKGs)
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and clinical standards
• Adapt procedures to diverse patient populations

The role may involve exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy (bachelor’s preferred)
• Valid state respiratory therapy license
• Certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (required or obtained within specified timeframes)
