Respiratory Therapist - Full Time Night Float

Role Overview

Provides respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric. Monitors and weans oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation, analyzes arterial blood gases and EKGs, and assists with airway management.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced therapeutic procedures
• Reviews and documents clinical information
• Educates patients and healthcare teams
• Ensures compliance with policies
• Adapts communication and care to diverse patient populations
• Stays updated on relevant laws and standards

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory therapy
• 2 years of experience
• Valid state license
• Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (required or obtained within specified timeframes)

Skills

• Proficiency with computer applications
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform both routine and complex procedures
