About the role

The Respiratory Care Student role is designed for students who have completed at least one clinical rotation in their Respiratory Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and treatments under supervision
• Assessing patient responses to therapies
• Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions
• Providing patient education on diseases, medications, and treatments
• Responding to medical emergencies and rapid response situations
• Performing other assigned duties in a safe and alert manner

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program
• No prior experience required
• Certifications needed vary by state but generally include Basic Life Support (BLS) and respiratory permits

Schedule

The role operates primarily during day shifts, within the Respiratory Therapy department.

Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and sensory perceptions like vision, hearing, and smell.
