Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments
- Assess patient response
- Monitor and record patient condition
- Provide patient education
- Respond to medical emergencies
- Perform assigned duties in a safe manner
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program
- No prior experience required
Skills & Physical Requirements
- Effective communication
- Constant standing and walking
- Frequent lifting (0–25 lbs.)
- Sitting, reaching, vision, smell, and hearing
- Occasional heavier lifting, patient movement, and bending
- Occasional driving
Certifications
- BLS (AHA)
- Respiratory Educator Permit or Provisional Respiratory Care Practitioner/Therapist license, depending on location
