Respiratory Care - Pediatric Neonatal Respiratory Therapist

About the role

The Registered Respiratory Therapist, Pediatric/Neonatal will provide care to patients with deficiencies and/or abnormalities within the Pulmonary system. Responsibilities include managing pediatric and neonatal therapeutic equipment and processes such as intubation, ventilator management, Nitric Oxide and surfactant administration, and assisting in high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and regional ground transport.

Responsibilities

• Manage pediatric and neonatal therapeutic equipment and processes including intubation, ventilator management, Nitric Oxide and surfactant administration.
• Auxiliary support in high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and regional ground transport.

Requirements

• Active ASBRT LRT required.
• Active NBRC RRT required.
• BLS required.
• Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) may be required depending on the area assigned.
• Neonatal/Pediatric Transport certification required if assisting with regional ground transport.

Qualifications

• Degree in Respiratory Care required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, and/or pulmonary function testing required.

Skills

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
• Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
• Must be able to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to develop trust with leaders in the organizations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance.
• Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

$45.00 - $50.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
