Respiratory Therapist Pediatrics

Responsibilities
- Apply scientific knowledge to practical clinical problems in respiratory care
- Perform a wide range of procedures related to respiratory care needs
- Evaluate respiratory care needs and make recommendations
- Document treatment effectiveness and accuracy according to departmental and regulatory standards
- Maintain competency in assigned areas
- Complete and document required education and competencies within designated timeframes
- Facilitate transitions to appropriate referral services
- Train other respiratory care staff, nursing, and medical personnel
- Instruct and educate patients and families about respiratory issues
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- 2 years of relevant experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep medicine, or equivalent clinical education
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRTR)
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - NBRC
- Certified Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPR
- Experience in regional hospitals and NICUs preferred
Qualifications
- Current CRT certification
- Ability to work nights and weekends
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in respiratory care equipment are essential.

Pay
$25,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates and new RT students graduating RT Programs, except for CH West RT Apprentices.
Schedule
Nights (6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.) with variable weekend frequency (every other weekend).
