Pediatric Neonatal Respiratory Therapist

About the role

The Registered Respiratory Therapist, Pediatric/Neonatal will perform duties involving the treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and/or abnormalities within the Pulmonary system. Responsibilities include working with pediatric and neonatal therapeutic equipment and processes such as intubation, ventilator management with conventional and HFO ventilation, Nitric Oxide and surfactant administration. This position may also assist in high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and regional ground transport.

Responsibilities

• Treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with Pulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities
• Work with pediatric and neonatal therapeutic equipment and processes including intubation, ventilator management with conventional and HFO ventilation, Nitric Oxide and surfactant administration
• Absorb responsibilities related to high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and regional ground transport as assigned

Requirements

• Education: Degree in Respiratory Care required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, and/or pulmonary function testing required
• Licenses/Certifications: Active ASBRT LRT required, active NBRC RRT required, BLS required, additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required depending on area assigned
• Specialized Certifications: Neonatal Pediatric Transport certification required if assisting with regional ground transport

Pay

The pay range for this position is $45,000 - $75,000 annually.

Schedule

This position is available on a PRN basis, with shifts typically occurring during the Third shift.
