About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Resource Forecasting Analyst to support utility infrastructure and capital project programs. This role will focus on forecasting construction workload, material planning, and coordinating closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support operational planning and execution.
Responsibilities
- Construction Allocation & Job Acceptance (CAP / JA Process)
- Support the monthly Construction Allocation Process (CAP) and Job Acceptance (JA) meetings.
- Coordinate with Project Management teams to identify projects ready for construction issuance.
- Prepare and distribute monthly batch information for field construction teams.
- Assist field personnel in evaluating whether work will be completed using internal construction crews or external contractors.
- Track accepted/rejected work packages and maintain accurate forecasting records.
- Material Forecasting & Planning
- Develop monthly material forecasts using planned capital project lists and SAP data.
- Pull and analyze SAP Construction Units (CUs) to estimate annual material requirements.
- Validate forecasting assumptions and quantities with Gas Operations and Engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Logistics and Supply Chain teams to support material planning and inventory readiness.
- Participate in continuous improvement and enhancement initiatives related to forecasting processes and reporting.
- New Business Process Support
- Support forecasting and planning activities associated with New Business projects and programs.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate project pipeline visibility and resource planning.
- Assist with reporting, tracking, and process optimization initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Data Analytics, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in resource forecasting, project controls, operations planning, scheduling, or data analytics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; experience with SAP, Power BI, or similar tools preferred.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable leading meetings and coordinating across multiple teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain accountability for deliverables.
Preferred Experience
- Supporting utility, infrastructure, construction, or capital project environments.
- Familiarity with construction allocation, workforce planning, or material forecasting processes.
- Experience collaborating with field operations, logistics, and project management teams.

Pay
Pay range for this position is $38.00–$48.00 per hour. Starting pay will be based on skill, education, experience, and working environment.
Work Environment
- Office Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
- Physical Demands: Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to move freely for up to 8 hours per day.
