About the role

As a Resort Banquet Manager at Westgate Park City Resort & Spa, you will coordinate and supervise all aspects of service for banquet functions. You will ensure all service SOPs are followed to provide the highest levels of service for banquet attendees, while also overseeing the care of banquet spaces and equipment. This role includes hiring, training, and disciplining banquet staff under the direction of the Banquet Manager. You will demonstrate Westgate’s core values of Passion, Integrity, and Work Ethic in every interaction with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Serve food and beverages in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Execute appropriate table settings, service ware, and correct preparation and garnishing methods.
  • Set up, maintain, and break down banquet rooms.
  • Lift and carry large and heavy trays continuously throughout a shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and service areas.
  • Inventory and care for banquet supplies such as linens, chairs, china, glassware, flatware, and decorations.
  • Bartend on occasion as needed.
  • Set up banquet rooms per banquet event order specifications and reset rooms to their original state post-event.
  • Serve guests according to BEO during events, fulfill requests, and provide information to banquet patrons.
  • Follow all company and safety policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
  • Relay data to outside departments and assist audio-visual personnel in setting up equipment.
  • Occasionally transport food, beverages, decorations, and equipment to off-premises event locations.
  • Work variable hours, including weekends and evenings as directed.
  • Represent Westgate Resorts professionally at all times.
  • Directly supervise team members, including training, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, and addressing complaints.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to follow instructions without close supervision.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
