Key Responsibilities
- Understand and prepare settlement statements and closing documents
- Review lender's closing instructions
- Prepare CD settlement statement following receipt of loan documents
- Receive approval of the CD from the lender/broker
- Review the Processing Calendar for assigned deals
- Confirm receipt of CD by the closer
- Review Title Binders and Abstract to clear title for closing
- Review all Taxes and payoffs
- Communicate with Broker and Lender on all closings
- Assist with the confirmation of all closings and funding
- Understand abstracts and title searches
- Review and prepare title insurance commitments and policies
- Communicate effectively with clients, customers, and fellow staff, including returning all voicemails and emails
Qualifications & Mindset
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in the title/settlement-related industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work under stringent deadlines
- Highly detail-oriented
- Collaborative and team-oriented
