About the role

Join a Substance Use Disorder treatment facility as an Adult Residential Support Professional, providing care, support, and monitoring to residents seeking recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Support and positively role model residents within established policies
  • Record observations and maintain records of residents' actions and behaviors
  • Perform housekeeping, laundry, and organizing supplies
  • Monitor medication and provide medication administration as per program guidelines
  • Communicate with external partners while maintaining confidentiality
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and crises
  • Support residents in achieving treatment goals and adhering to clinical plans
  • Assist with life skills activities, meal prep, grocery shopping, and transportation
  • Collect urine specimens, administer breathalyzer tests, provide basic first aid, and facilitate educational activities

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED; related experience or coursework in social work, psychology, or human services preferred
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats
  • Proficiency with computers for documentation, communication, and training
  • Patience, self-control, flexibility, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform duties in a community-based environment, including outdoor activities
