Residential Supervisor - Nurse

Responsibilities

  • Conducts rounds of patient apartments to monitor, assist, offer advice, and handle any questions concerning patient programs or behavior.
  • Reviews documentation and provides feedback and training to staff as needed.
  • Makes changes to work assignments as necessary.
  • Performs nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of the patient.
  • Supervises, assists with, and delegates the distribution of medications to the appropriate residence of each patient.
  • Administers or supervises the administration of prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Performs medication counts of controlled medications each shift.
  • Takes vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, and blood pressure regularly to detect deviations from normal and monitors the medical progress of patients.
  • Assists patients with daily routines, catheter irrigating, and assisting with respiratory treatments.
  • Communicates with Nursing Department, residential supervisory staff, Residential Treatment Coordinators, Case Managers, Director of Rehabilitation, and patients' families as required.

Qualifications

  • Current RN or LVN licensure in state employed is required.
  • Experience in general rehabilitation is preferred.
  • Maintain CPR, First Aid, and Pro-ACT Certifications.
  • Experience in which potential administrative and supervisory competence has been demonstrated is required.
  • Clear driving record.
