Residential Service Electrician (2-5+ yrs Experience Needed)

Responsibilities

• Perform residential service work by diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical systems, identifying issues, and executing repairs to restore functionality.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers, to ensure reliable operation.
• Effectively communicate with customers to explain electrical problems, present repair or replacement options, and provide clear recommendations based on their needs.
• Handle physical demands of the job, such as lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally; climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work; ability to drive; working in various environments (indoor/outdoor, attics, crawlspaces); ability to stand, walk, sit, talk or hear; use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch; work in extreme temperatures and adverse weather conditions.
• Perform basic wiring tasks, including installing disconnects, whips, branch circuits, breakers, and other electrical accessories, ensuring proper connections and functionality.
• Utilize a thorough knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in the electrical trade, including their proper handling and maintenance.
• Apply knowledge of electrical codes and regulations to ensure all work is compliant with local, state, and national standards, and to maintain safety on the job site.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Over 2 years of electrical experience, preferably with a focus on residential projects.
• Positive attitude and strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Adaptability, flexibility, and creativity as a collaborative team player.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to address and resolve electrical issues.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required by the job.
