Dunn’s HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical, a Southern Home Services Company, is seeking a dynamic Service Electrician to join a thriving business that values work-life balance and cares about its employees.
Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of residential electrical tasks, including troubleshooting, installation, and repair of electrical systems.
- Diagnose issues, perform necessary repairs or replacements, and communicate effectively with homeowners to explain problems and solutions.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers, to ensure reliable operation.
- Effectively communicate with customers to explain electrical problems, present repair or replacement options, and provide clear recommendations based on their needs.
- Handle physical demands of the job, such as pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, and lifting heavy objects safely.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, including installing disconnects, whips, branch circuits, breakers, and other electrical accessories, ensuring proper connections and functionality.
- Utilize a thorough knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in the electrical trade, including their proper handling and maintenance.
- Apply knowledge of electrical codes and regulations to ensure all work is compliant with local, state, and national standards, and to maintain safety on the job site.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3 or more years of residential electrical experience.
- Proven track record as a selling Electrician is required.
- Electrical license preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- A positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and creativity as a collaborative team player.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to address and resolve electrical issues.
- The physical ability to lift to 50 lbs. as required by the job.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work.
- Ability to drive.
- Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces.
- Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
- Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
- Regular exposure to extreme temperatures both indoors and outdoors, such as heat or cold, and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice or snow.
