About the role

As a Residential Mortgage Success Champion, you will be at the forefront of our mortgage loan manufacturing process, guiding and ensuring the smooth progression of mortgage loans from application through to a successful closing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the progression of mortgage loans from origination to closing, ensuring each step is completed on time.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the loan process to prevent delays and, when necessary, verify underwriting conditions have been cleared.
• Collaborate with other success champions, mortgage originators, processors, underwriters, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless progression of loans.
• Act as a primary resource for questions and guidance throughout the loan process.
• Conduct training programs for mortgage originators and operations members.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to address and resolve challenges.
• Implement best practices and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate clear and effective communication among internal teams.
• Ensure that all loans are processed in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Perform regular quality checks to maintain accuracy and prevent errors.
• Maintain detailed records of loan statuses and provide regular updates to management.
• Proactively identify issues that could impede loan progression and develop solutions.
• Continuously seek ways to streamline and improve the loan processing workflow.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and implement best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality to work.
• Follow Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, required; bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in mortgage processes from application to clear to close and Encompass Software, required.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage loan manufacturing processes and Encompass Software.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative to accomplish work objectives.
