Responsibilities

• Provide direct and ongoing supervision, support, and instruction to students, while overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the dormitory.
• Provide an engaged, structured and supportive dormitory environment designed to promote growth and independence through assessment, direct instruction, positive reinforcement and the setting of clear and consistent expectations.
• Meet the individual and collective needs of assigned students relative to their unique learning styles.

Requirements

• Suitable Background check result (CORI, SORI, DCF) and fingerprinting required
• Legal authorization to work in the US
• CPR/AED/Standard First Aid /EpiPen certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Valid Driver’s license

• Demonstrate an understanding of the School mission and adhere to all policies and procedures
• Experience working with students with learning and intellectual disabilities and/or a willingness to engage in professional development to gain the knowledge necessary to effectively work with the Riverview student profile
• Demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions with students, families and co-workers
• Comply with School, OSHA and Board of Health safety guidelines and training

Pay

• Residential Instructor (day shift/no overnights) pay range: $32,000‑$37,500
• Residential Instructor (with overnights) pay range: $62,500‑$74,500
• Candidates who bring advanced expertise or highly specialized skills may be eligible for compensation above the posted range

Schedule

• Full Time – Sunday‑Wednesday (shifts include evenings and weekends)
• Full Time – Wednesday‑Saturday (shifts include evenings and weekends)
• Residential Instructor (day shift/no overnights)
