About the role
STAR, Inc. is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our residential team as Overnight Residential Instructors. In this role, you will support adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities during overnight hours and help ensure they remain safe, comfortable, and supported in their homes.
What You'll Do
- Monitoring and checking on residents throughout the overnight shift according to their individual plans and needs.
- Responding appropriately to any needs or situations that arise during the night.
- Completing household duties and other assigned tasks while residents are sleeping.
- Aiding residents with their morning routines and preparing them for the day ahead.
- Providing personal care assistance when needed.
- Preparing breakfast and helping with morning household routines.
- Providing transportation to day programs or other activities when necessary.
- Communicating and working closely with evening and morning staff to promote consistency and continuity of care.

What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license and at least one year of driving experience.
- A caring and compassionate approach to supporting others.
- The ability to recognize and encourage the potential in every individual.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Schedule
Awake overnight shifts generally run from approximately 11:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Employees typically work 3–4 shifts per week, including every other weekend.
