Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install residential HVAC systems
- Service and install central air conditioning systems, heat pumps, furnaces, mini-split systems, and related HVAC equipment
- Perform complete HVAC system replacements and new installations according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices
- Troubleshoot electrical, airflow, refrigerant, and mechanical issues
- Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections
- Recommend repair and replacement options based on system performance and customer needs
- Install thermostats, indoor air quality equipment, humidifiers, condensate pumps, and other HVAC accessories
- Accurately document service calls, repairs, installations, and maintenance recommendations
- Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners while providing honest recommendations
- Work independently while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship and compliance with Massachusetts mechanical, electrical, and safety codes
- Keep work areas, company vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and organized
- Use smartphones, tablets, and company software to document and manage jobs
- Collaborate with the team to complete jobs safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Deliver outstanding customer service on every job
Requirements
- 5+ years of residential HVAC service and installation experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience servicing, repairing, and installing furnaces, central air conditioning systems, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and related HVAC equipment
- EPA Universal Certification required
- Massachusetts refrigeration license preferred
- Working knowledge of HVAC and safety codes
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
- Pride in clean, professional, high-quality workmanship
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and company software
- Positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
