Bridgewell strengthens communities by providing a range of social and human services to empower people with disabilities and other life challenges. Key services include community housing, day programs, outpatient treatment, recovery services, education, and employment training. Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and directly supervise Residential Managers to ensure performance standards are met and all individuals comply with agency requirements, mission, goals, and principles.
- Create a positive work climate and foster a cohesive team environment.
- Promote professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and continuous training.
- Oversee the referral, intake, transfer, and discharge processes for all assigned programs.
- Maintain quality services and compliance with DDS regulations, CARF standards, and Bridgewell policies.
- Ensure compliance with program budgets through consistent monitoring and reporting.
- Build and maintain relationships with funding sources, community groups, families, and other service providers.
- Participate in committees as assigned.
- Provide interim program leadership during absences or vacancies.
- Give regular constructive feedback and recognition to direct reports.
- Conduct timely Performance Evaluation meetings and address performance concerns.
- Maintain certifications and ensure all mandatory training requirements are completed.
- Identify and recruit internal and external talent for key positions.
- Create an inclusive work environment and foster employee engagement.
- Model Bridgewell's core philosophy and values.
- Work as an On-Call Director on a rotating basis.
- Handle employee concerns, determine mentoring/training needs, and implement disciplinary actions as necessary.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in related field preferred with 3-5 years of experience in working with people with Developmental Disabilities, or Bachelor's degree required with 5-7 years of experience.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory and team leadership experience.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in budget management.
- Working experience in understanding the clinical needs of the people served.
- A valid US driver's license and one year of driving experience.
Skills/Knowledge
- Ability to lead and supervise leaders and ensure teams meet performance standards.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of DDS and CARF regulations.
- Knowledge of behavior management and human rights.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively.
- Ability to provide coaching and mentoring to enhance skills and performance.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to encourage employee engagement and foster an inclusive work environment.
- Strong computer skills including data management, Microsoft Office, and records management systems.
- Ability to be certified and maintain certifications such as PPS, PABC, medication administration, First Aid/CPR, and others.
- Ability to drive a 12-passenger van and/or a wheelchair van.
- Demonstrated ability to manage an operating budget.
