About the role
An Adult Residential Support Professional provides compassionate, trauma-informed care in a residential treatment setting for adult women recovering from substance use disorders, including mothers with infants.
Responsibilities
- Support residents' recovery, offering encouragement and structure
- Monitor and document resident well-being and progress
- Administer or oversee medication management per policies
- Assist with daily living tasks such as meals, housekeeping, and laundry
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation
- Respond effectively to emergencies and crises
- Help residents achieve treatment goals and participate in educational or life skills activities
- Transport residents to appointments and community activities
- Collect urine specimens and conduct breathalyzer tests when required
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in human services, behavioral health, or residential care preferred
- Coursework in social work, psychology, or related fields is a plus
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- DHS 83 training preferred but can be completed after hiring
