About the role

This role assists in building successful programs and services to meet the needs of the residents, while fostering good community relations to enhance participation from residents and community partners.

Responsibilities

- Prepare, collect, and summarize surveys to determine the needs of the residents, and provide written reports as directed or requested - Develop a list of programs and services along with written descriptions, goals and objectives - Create, maintain and update listings of contact names, addresses and phone numbers of all business and community involved with the Center - Identify local community organizations, government, business, and other community leaders that can support or assist the center - Serves as on-site coordinator for all programs and oversees the day-to-day operations at assigned properties - Maintain a current understanding of technical skills that would be required of students to carry out class assignments - Provide written reports to the Director of Resident Services or management as required - Maintain the confidentiality of all residents - Enforce all Local, State and Federal Laws and Regulations - Maintain a program for safety at the Center - Assist with all programs and day-to-day operations

Requirements

- Possess excellent prioritizing and organizational skills - Ability to use computer and basic office equipment required - Ability to communicate effectively and professionally - Demonstrated ability to initiate and maintain effective, cooperative relationships with low-income residents, community groups, service providers, business leaders, and local government - Experience in program development and implementation, with an emphasis on programs related to children, youth, and their families - Strong public presentation skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong organizational and coordination skills; and ability to juggle multiple goals and priorities - Demonstrated knowledge of ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve for families, youth, and/or the elderly

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Social Work or related work experience required - Minimum of three years experience in social service work required

Skills
