About the role

Pivotal, an industry leader in affordable housing, is seeking a Full-time Social Services Coordinator to support our communities in Atlanta, Douglasville, and Augusta. The role involves spending 60% of the week at Reserve at Hollywood and 40% at Reserve at Douglasville, with quarterly visits to Gardens at Harvest Point. Responsibilities include arranging training sessions, coordinating with local financial counselors and agencies, and providing social services as outlined in supportive services plans.

Responsibilities

  • Spend 60% (3 days/week) at Reserve at Hollywood in Atlanta, GA;
  • Spend 40% (2 days/week) at Reserve at Douglasville in Douglasville, GA;
  • 1 time quarterly at Gardens at Harvest Point in Augusta, GA (spend 1-2 nights there).
  • Arrange training sessions between residents and service providers;
  • Partner with local financial counselors and agencies to provide service;
  • Coordinate with specific service providers, either through direct outreach or referrals, for the provision of social services that are outlined in the supportive services plan.

Job Training/Placement

  • Partner with county agencies to identify and link residents to available resources that offer needed job training classes;
  • Link residents with local schools for continued education or GED classes;
  • After school/training programs: Partner with local schools and other agencies to set up on-site tutoring programs in community centers;
  • Mentoring programs: Partner with local Big Brothers/Big Sisters or other groups to create a mentoring program for children living in the community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (Preferred)
  • 1+ years of social work experience (preferred)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Caregiving, resourcefulness, and collaborative mindset
