About the role

The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) position at Abode Communities is a full-time, non-exempt role with an hourly salary range of $21.00 - $26.00. The position includes a comprehensive benefits compensation package, including 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, LTD, a 401K plan with employer match, and substantial holiday, vacation, and sick leave benefits. The position also offers a 9/80 alternative workweek schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure ongoing access to resources for residents
  • Intervene when individuals are at risk of losing their housing
  • Provide avenues to social service agencies
  • Engage residents with each other and their greater communities
  • Track programs and referrals through daily attendance, referral notes, case notes, and ResidentConnect database
  • Oversee youth programs including out-of-school time programs focused on social and emotional learning (SEL)
  • Oversee programs designed to reduce isolation and focus on aging in place at senior sites
  • Collaborate with service providers to offer best practices in permanent supportive housing for special needs residents or formerly homeless population

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent, and a minimum of two (2) years related experience in social work, human services, case management, and/or related field required
  • Strong ability to initiate and maintain effective, cooperative-working relationships with community-based organizations, public and private organizations required
  • Strong ability to organize and oversee meetings, activities and events and have an ability to effectively network in the community required
  • Strong verbal and written communication mathematical concept skills required
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish a plus
  • Exceptional public speaking abilities and facilitation skills required
  • Availability to work some evenings and Saturdays required
  • Intermediate computer skills with programs such as Excel, Microsoft Word, E-mail and the Internet required
  • Ability to travel within Abode Communities' service area required
