Resident Recovery Specialist
About the role
Invitation Homes is a fast-paced, evolving publicly traded REIT pioneering a new industry with over 110,000 single-family rental homes under management. The Specialist, Resident Recovery is a key member of our centralized property management team, focused on ensuring compliance and delivering exceptional resident support. This position manages day-to-day operations related to accounts receivable (AR), lease compliance, and eviction processes while maintaining accuracy and adherence to legal standards. The role also handles inbound resident calls, partners closely with local market teams, and collaborates with internal departments to resolve issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve resident accounts receivable activities, including payment posting review, delinquency resolution, and ledger accuracy.
- Perform proactive outbound outreach to residents to resolve delinquency, payment plans, and pre-eviction concerns.
- Coordinate and execute eviction-related activities in accordance with lease terms, state and local regulations, and company policy; identify and escalate compliance risks to leadership as needed.
- Handle inbound resident calls related to delinquency, eviction status, and account escalations with professionalism and empathy; accurately document all interactions in Salesforce.
- Partner with local market teams and centralized partners to resolve complex AR issues, share timely updates, and ensure consistent and compliant resident experience across markets.
- Follow standardized workflows to support consistent execution across all markets.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum two years of customer service and/or AR/property management experience.
- Ability to multitask using a variety of IT platforms simultaneously.
- Salesforce knowledge preferred.
- Ability to solve problems constructively.
- Ability to work with limited supervision; self-motivated.
- Works well with others in a team environment; team-player.
- Proficient verbal and writing skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task with accuracy.
- Proven administrative experience in Property Management or related field.
- Working knowledge of property management software programs and Microsoft Office Applications.
- Customer service oriented; strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a centralized or high-volume environment.
- Familiarity with eviction timelines and compliance requirements.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $20.19 - $35.00 per hour, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
