About the role

The Resident Care Coordinator at Mercer Commons ensures that the residents are safe, well cared for and comfortable. Supports and maintains the delivery of personal services for assisted living residents. Monitors policies and procedures, employee performance, and implements training and quality assurance of employee performance and resident care. Guides line staff, and oversees medication room systems. Complies with federal, state and local standards for facility operation Incorporates Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values into their daily work and interactions with others.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and maintains the delivery of personal services for assisted living residents.
  • Makes sure policies and procedures are followed and employees perform well.
  • Trains and monitors employee performance and resident care.
  • Guides line staff and oversees medication room systems.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local standards for facility operation.
  • Incorporates Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values into daily work and interactions with others.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in assisted living, long-term care, or the delivery of health services.
  • Staffing Coordinator or similar experience required.
  • Experience in the provision of care to the senior population.
  • Assists in the supervision of caregivers and the assignment of tasks.
  • Manages the calendar and schedules of care staff.
  • Performs initial training for caregivers as assigned.
  • If the team leader is occupied, this person is in charge of the caregiver team and assignments.
  • Ensures staff understand and follow through with changes and updates in service plans.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations related to Assisted Living facilities.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in the English language.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid within the first 30 days of being hired.

  • Ability to provide compassionate and professional care to residents.

Pay

  • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

  • Full-time, Sundays through Thursdays, from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
  • 8-Hour Shifts.
  • Holiday availability as needed (assigned on a rotating basis).
  • Available to be on-call.
