Key Functions And Expected Performance
- Extracellular Vesicle purification and analysis
- Adherent Cell Culture
- Genetic engineering of cell lines
- Carrying out experiments under supervision
- Proactively troubleshooting and seeking out advice/feedback
- Maintaining accurate experimental records
- Meting at least once a week with Dr. Weaver and/or laboratory subgroups to present data and report on the week’s activities
- Maintaining equipment and reagent stocks
- Organizing laboratory protocols in shared online databases
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field of study from an accredited institution of higher education is required.
- Experience performing adherent mammalian cell culture is required.
- Experience performing biochemical purification is preferred.
- At least one consecutive year of related lab experience is preferred, either in undergraduate research or in a post-graduate technical position.
- Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills are required.
Supervisory Relationships
This position does not have supervisory responsibility; this position reports administratively and functionally to the Principal Investigator of the laboratory, Dr. Alissa Weaver.
