Research Technician
About the role
This position is for a research technician to support the goals of a grant projected funded by the National Institute on Alcohol and Alcoholism. The project involves intensive daily data collection across a 19-month period. This position will support recruitment and retention of a sample of 150 ASU college students. Additional responsibilities will include data management and preliminary data analyses as well as oversight of the project under the supervision of Dr. William Corbin.
Responsibilities
- Overall monitoring of the project
- Recruitment and tracking and retention of participants
- Data management and analyses
- Communication with the ASU IRB and the funding source (NIAAA)
Requirements
- High School Diploma and two-years (2) experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Qualifications
- At least one year of research experience
- Experience with participant recruitment and retention and data management and analyses and/or experience with any of the programs used to perform these tasks (RedCap, Qualtrics, Expiwell, SPSS).

Working Environment
- Regular meetings with members of Dr. Corbin’s research team

- Aiding in data cleaning
- Preliminary data analyses
- Working with a variety of software programs including Qualtrics, Expiwell, RedCap, and SPSS
