Research Coordinator - Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging

What You'll Do

  • Help coordinate multiple protocols being conducted in the MRU
  • Aid in the setup and coordination of study protocols
  • Work with study participants to complete study visit procedures
  • Assist with study scheduling, consenting, escorting study participants, administering questionnaires, taking study measurements, and completing data collection forms
  • Support volunteer services, nursing, and dietary services units during high-demand times
  • Recruit, screen study participants, explain the research study, and assist with study measures
  • Assist in the metabolic kitchen as needed
  • Collaborate with other Core Units like the Nutrition Evaluation Lab
  • Enter and review data for accuracy and completeness
  • Implement and maintain best practices for data collection, management, quality control, and study closeout
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and University policies
  • Train staff and students on study-related procedures and data collection methods
  • Develop and implement standardized operating procedures and manuals

What We're Looking For

  • Basic Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree in nutrition or other health-sciences field
    • Knowledge and experience typically acquired by a Bachelor's Degree
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite, email, web search
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • Exposure to working with data such as data collection, data entry, or data management
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to interact well with others
    • Completion of Human Subject Protection training through CITI within two weeks of hire (required prior to interacting with human subjects)
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 1+ year experience in a research setting
    • Experience with REDCap or other research data collection databases
    • Experience working within IRB guidance and policies
    • Experience with working with research participants

Pay Range

Minimum $23.00, Midpoint $27.35, Maximum $31.70

Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
