Responsibilities
- Working with the Principal Investigator on designing, carrying out, and analyzing complex experiments in the area of brain tumor biology.
- Leading the implementation of experimental projects.
- Designing the translational/basic science experiments to test hypotheses related to research goals.
- Using in vitro (cell culture/organoids), in vivo animal models, and primary patient samples.
- Conducting thorough data analysis and manuscript preparation.
- Conducting grant preparation.
- Supervising more junior lab members.
- Organizing lab meetings and ensuring individual lab members are ready for presentations.
- Developing independence in research through writing grants and peer-reviewed publications.
Requirements
- Expertise in omics (transcriptomics and computational skills).
- Experience with immunologic assays.
- Experience with animal experiments/creation of novel genetic models.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Skills
